Umran broke Bumrah’s record, became the fastest bowler among Indian pacers

Debutant pacer Shivam Mavi took four wickets as India registered a thrilling two-run win in the first Twenty20 International of the three-match series. Not just Mavi, but Umran Malik too stunned the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai once again with his blistering pace.

On Tuesday, Umran Malik returned with two wickets and conceded 27 runs in his four overs. During his spell, Malik clocked 155 kmph on the speed gun, which was the fastest ball of the match.

Malik’s thunderbolt helped India get rid of the dangerous Dasun Shanaka. Dasun was caught by Yuzvendra Chahal at extra cover after scoring 45 off 27 balls.

Malik’s fast ball feat saw him eclipse Jasprit Bumrah’s record of fastest delivery among Indian fast bowlers.

Bumrah’s fastest speed so far has been recorded at 153.36 kilometers per hour. He is followed by Mohammed Shami (153.3 kmph) and Navdeep Saini (152.85 kmph).
