Umran Malik to join Indian team as a bowler for T20 WC

Umran Malik will feature in the Indian team as a net bowler for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The pacer has been asked to stay back in the UAE, a Sunrisers Hyderabad official confirmed the progress to Cricbuzz.

Although the young pacer from Jammu and Kashmir is inexperienced in the competition, Malik has consistently run at 150 mph in three matches he has played for SRH.

The Signature of short term replacement :-

He was also a net bowler with SRH before being signed as a short-term replacement after T Natarajan tested positive for COVID-19. After SRH’s IPL campaign ended on 8 October, the BCCI signaled its decision to Umran Malik.

India, ranked in Group 2, will play their first match of the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on 24 October.

NCA chief Ashish Kaushik physiotherapist resigns

Ashish Kaushik, the head physiotherapist of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, has resigned and will be rested on October 31. “He is very good with his job, but he has decided to move on. He will finish his notice period by this month.-end,” a top BCCI official told Cricbuzz.

As a Senior Physiotherapist :-

Ashish Kaushik first joined NCA in 2009 and worked as a Senior Physiotherapist till 2014. He also worked with the Indian side at the time of the 2011 World Cup and later joined as Head Physiotherapist in 2017.

He was one of the key figures of the NCA under Rahul’s guidance. Enjoyed the immense optimism of Dravid and the former India captain. He recently traveled with the Indian side for the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka.

This comes as a setback to BCCI’s ambitious dispersal plans for the NCA. The board has bought a huge land in Bangalore to convert the NCA into a high-performance center. His exit also comes at a time when the support staff’s consent to the academy has run out.

In fact, all the physios and strength and conditioning trainers at NCA have exhausted their consent and are on short-term extension for a few months.

The National selectors interview :-

The BCCI/NCA has processed the application and interviews are also being conducted. Some national selectors are understood to have traveled to Bangalore to assist in conducting the interviews.

Meanwhile, Ashish said that he has decided to quit the NCA as he feels it is time for someone else to concentrate. Kaushik said, “I have had the best 10 years at the NCA and the BCCI has been a wonderfully planned one.

I have got the best approval from Rahul Dravid as well. The time to carry on the work of others.” Cricbuzz. “I haven’t judged my future plans but I will stick with the game.”
