UP Cricket League: The first season of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket League is going to start on August 30, for which the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association is fully prepared. The first season of the league (UPCL) is going to start with six teams whose franchise auction process has also been completed. In the recent auction held in Lucknow, the most expensive franchise has been bought from Kanpur, while Lucknow has been at the back in this matter. All the matches of the tournament will be played at the Greenpark Cricket Stadium in Kanpur. For which the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has also prepared the entire role.

After Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha, now Uttar Pradesh is also going to have its own league. The auction process for all six franchises in Lucknow has been completed by UPCA. After this, the association also made its list public, in which the most expensive bid was made by the Kanpur franchisee for Rs 7.20 crore. While the cheapest bid was Rs 5.25 crore from Lucknow. Apart from this, Varanasi has been bought for Rs 6.50 crore, Gorakhpur for Rs 6 crore, Gautam Budh Nagar for Rs 5.75 crore, and Meerut for Rs 5.50 crore.
Around 150 players from across the state will participate in the tournament, base prize of Rs 25,000
Soon after the franchise auction, the players’ auction process will also be done. However, the manner in which this process will take place remains uncertain. According to a UPCA official, the process of players can also be done by taking out slips. It will be finalized in a day or two. About 150 players from across the state will participate in the tournament. Which also includes the names of star players, IPL stars, and emerging players. The league will be eyeing Indian bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, IPL team Hyderabad batsman Priyam Garg, Gujarat Titans pacer Shivam Mavi besides Saurabh Kumar, Karthik Tyagi, Ankit Rajput, Karn Sharma, and Meerut pacer Purnank Tyagi. The base price of the players will be kept at Rs 25,000.
