Vijay Hazare Trophy: Tamil Nadu made world record, Jagadeesan played historic innings

Vijay Hazare Trophy: Tamil Nadu made a new record in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played on Monday. In the match against Arunachal Pradesh, the Tamil Nadu team scored 506 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 50 overs.

Tamil Nadu made world record in List A cricket :-

As soon as Tamil Nadu scored 506 runs, they became the first team to score more than 500 in a List A match. Earlier this record was in the name of England, who had scored 498 runs against the Netherlands in the same year, losing 4 wickets.

N Jagadeesan played the most runs innings in List A cricket :-

Apart from the team total, many other records were made in this match. Tamil Nadu batsman N Jagadeesan played an inning of 277 runs in 141 balls in this match. He hit 25 fours and 15 sixes in his innings.

This is the best score ever by a player in List A cricket. With this innings, he broke the record held by Surrey batsman Alistair Brown, who scored 268 runs in 2002.
