Mahela Jayawardene scored 1000 runs in 25 innings in the T20 World Cup. While Virat Kohli has scored 927 runs in 20 innings. If Virat Kohli scores 73 runs today, he will become the fastest batsman to score 1000 runs in T20 World Cup. Even if he is not able to do the same against the Netherlands, he will still have some more chances left.

Virat needs just 39 runs to become the second highest run-scorer in T20 World Cup

On the other hand, if Virat Kohli manages to score 39 runs against the Netherlands today, he will become the second highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup, while breaking the record of former West Indies opener Chris Gayle.
