Virat Kohli captained the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the last time after the team lost to Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday and was eliminated from IPL 2021.

Kohli had earlier revealed that the IPL 2021 will be the last season he would captain the RCB franchise. And while he couldn’t get his hands on the silverware, he so badly craved for, he led the team brilliantly. Fans on social media, mostly RCB supporters, expressed their dismay at seeing Kohli captain the team for the last time.

The Cricketer became RCB’s permanent captain-

The Delhi-born cricketer became RCB’s permanent captain in 2013 and an era got underway. Kohli delivered regularly with the bat and played one sensational knock after another. He even impressed one and all with his leadership skills. However, he couldn’t do the ultimate job, taking RCB to the title. Overall, he led RCB in 140 games, taking them to glory 64 times. While RCB lost 69 games in this period, four encounters got washed out.
