It was during Team India’s practice session that the former India captain greeted Lara. The two cricketing icons, however, could not speak for a long time as the Caribbean superstar was having a conversation on the phone. Kohli gave a quick hug and proceeded to the pavilion area.

Kohli is gearing up for the second Test, which is due to begin on July 20 onwards. Ahead of the game, India had a practice session at Queen’s Park Oval that was delayed due to incessant rain. The visitors have taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match series and are currently table toppers in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. India would now aim to consolidate the top position with another win.

Virat Kohli: Kohli eyes multiple records in the second Test against West Indies
In the second Test, the former India captain would be eyeing to break multiple records. The second game against Windies will be the 500th international match for Kohli since making his international debut in 2009. The 35-year-old has so far played 110 Tests, 274 ODIs, and 115 T20Is. Kohli can also surpass legendary cricketer Jacques Kallis’s record of 25,534 runs in 617 innings.
Currently, the Indian superstar has amassed 25,461 runs in 558 innings. With 73 runs more in the second Test Kallis’s record will broken.
