IND vs WI, 2nd Test match, Virat Kohli 500 matches: With the second Test match against the West Indies, Virat Kohli got another achievement in his name. The 100th Test match being played between India and West Indies at Port of Spain is Kohli’s 500th international match. He is the fourth player from India to play 500 international matches. Before Virat Kohli, the achievement of playing 500 matches is recorded in the names of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Having made his international debut under Dhoni in August 2008 against Sri Lanka in Dambulla, Virat has come a long way. Virat has played 111 Tests, 274 ODIs and 115 T20 matches. He is at number five in terms of scoring the most runs in ODI history. In ODIs, Virat has 12898 runs in 274 matches, including 46 centuries.

Virat Kohli is the only player whose name is recorded in this record :-
He is the only player to have more than 4,000 runs in T20 Internationals. In Tests, Virat has 8555 runs in 111 matches. When the Indian team last toured the West Indies in 2011, Rahul Dravid and Kohli were part of that team. Virat is the only player in the current team who was included in the Indian team for that tour.
