Warwickshire is set to enter a home quarter-final in a packed schedule at Edgbaston following talks with the ECB. Simultaneously, ticket prices for Thursday’s match against Hampshire have also been reduced.
Host the county championship game
Edgbaston is hosting the ongoing, rescheduled fifth Test between England and India. This is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, and then stage the second T20I between the same teams on Saturday. It will then host a county championship game later this month. The women’s T20 competition at the Commonwealth Games will host four hundred matches (including three double-headers) and four Royal London Cup games before the end of August. Which places huge demands on its groundstaff.
The game will not be televised by Sky Sports but will be streamed online at edgbaston.com
Free tickets for Members and Season Pass holders
Full Club Members and Season Pass holders for the 2022 season will be able to attend the fixture for FREE by simply scanning their Membership Card at the stadium entrance points.
Sales & Marketing Director Alex Perkins said:
“We’ve been working with ECB over the last few weeks to try and accommodate a home quarter-final at Edgbaston, despite the LV= Insurance Test Match and Vitality IT20 taking place in the same week.
“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to make this work and give our Members and fans the opportunity to support the Bears in a big quarter-final at home.
“We hope Members, fans, and the local community will come out in force to make it a memorable occasion. And we have reflected this ambition with a one-off pricing model in order to create another special Edgbaston atmosphere.”
