Wasim Akram revealed, Babar Azam is not ready to give up this thing

Wasim Akram: Babar Azam-led Pakistan team’s journey so far in the T20 World Cup 2022 has been no less than a nightmare. In the first match of Super-12, where the team had to face defeat by 4 wickets at the hands of India, in the second match, Zimbabwe reversed Pakistan to dust.

In both the matches, Pakistan lost on the last ball. After these two defeats, Pakistan is on the verge of being out of the T20 World Cup.

Former legend fast bowler Wasim Akram revealed :-

After disappointing performance of Pakistan, former players are raising a lot of questions on the selection and performance of the team. Meanwhile, former Pakistan legend fast bowler Wasim Akram has revealed that captain Babar Azam is not ready to give up his opening slot.

Everyone knows that Pakistan’s middle order has been the team’s biggest weakness. In the beginning, if Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan get out early, then the team fails to reach big scores. In such a situation, many veteran players have advised Babar to play at number three, but Babar has not listened to anyone yet.

Talking to A Sports, Akram said this:-

Talking to A Sports, Wasim Akram said, ‘I once during PSL asked Babar Azam to leave the opening position for Karachi Kings and bat at number three, but Babar Azam clearly said that I am not the opening slot. I will leave.

Akram told the mistakes of Babar Azam and Pakistan :-

He further said, ‘Since last year, everyone from Pakistan knew that the middle order was a bit weak. If I were the captain, what would be my ultimate goal as a captain? win the world cup. I will go to any extent to select the team that can win you the World Cup.

If I want Shoaib Malik in the middle order, then I will make sure that I talk to the selectors, otherwise I will say that if I can’t find my team then I will not captain this team.
