WBBL: South African Mignon du Preez re-signs with Hobart Hurricanes

Mignon du Preez: South African batsman Mignon Preez is making a comeback to the WBBL after re-signing with the Hobart Hurricanes.

Preez scored the most runs last year for the Hobart Hurricanes :-

Mignon du Preez was the highest run-scorer for the Hobart Hurricanes last year. She scored 414 runs last season at an average of 31.84 and strike rate of 115. She is returning to the Hurricanes with her close friend and former South Africa teammate Lizelle Lee.

Du Preez will also be joined by Elyse, the new Hurricanes captain:

Lizelle Lee and Preez have re-signed to play in Hobart after withdrawing last season. The pair had previously played together in the Melbourne Stars.

Mignon Du Preez will also be joined by new Hurricanes captain Elyse Villani, who is also a former Stars teammate.

Du Preez, “I can’t wait to return to Australia” :-

“I can’t wait to return to Australia,” said du Preez. “I love the Big Bash. Moving to the Hurricanes last season was a big decision for me, but I can honestly say that I had a great time on and off the field.

I got to know a lot of girls really well, and as we get to know each other better as a team, our cricket has really improved as well.

Mignon du Preez, “We are a very good Partners” :-

“We have the same team that we entered into WBBL 08 last year, plus some really cool additions, and knowing first hand what quality players like Junior Villani and Lizelle Lee can bring to T20Is. I think that puts us in a pretty good position.”
