All-rounder Ashmini Munisar will lead the 12-man squad and Shalini Samru will be his deputy for the series. A team of 15 members was earlier announced by the selection panel.
But it was reduced to 12 as three players were unable to secure their visas for the tour.
The team has some exciting and talented cricketers. The leading run-getter of the CWI Rising Stars U19 T20 tournament played last month, Jenada Joseph is part of the team.
The squad also includes southpaw Jaida James, who was a traveling reserve for the West Indies senior team earlier this year and then represented West Indies “A” against Pakistan “A”.
Steve Libbard, former Leeward Islands batsman and West Indies Men’s U19s assistant coach is the team’s head coach, and former West Indies captain Marissa Aguilera is the team manager.

Both teams have already qualified for the first ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in South Africa next year.
Lead selector for West Indies Ann Brown-John believes the series will provide the team with ideal preparation ahead of next year’s U19 World Cup in South Africa.
He said, ‘History will be creating with the selection of West Indies Under-19 team. No cricket tournament was playing during the pandemic, so it was not only important but also an eye-opener to see girls in the U19 tournament recently.
The selectors were extremely happy with the quality of skill displaying by these young players. The team has a good mix of batting and bowling including some left-handed batsmen.
“There are a few players including captain Ashmini Munisar and Jenaba Joseph who have played key roles for their senior teams in the recent regional tournaments in Guyana.
This series as well as some other planned upcoming events will help the players in their development as they prepare for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in January.
