Wicketkeeper and in-form West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran scored a scintillating century for the Leatherback Giants in the ongoing Trinidad T10 Blast at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on Monday, February 28.

Nicholas Pooran scored a century in 37 balls :-

Nicholas Pooran scored a century in 37 balls to give Giants an easy nine-wicket win in the 10-over match. Chasing 129 for victory in 10 overs against the Scarlet Ibis Scorchers, Nicholas Pooran’s explosive batting ensured the Giants’ 9-ball win.

Legendary captain Nicholas Pooran hit a century with six fours and 10 sixes. In this match, Nicholas Pooran batted with a strike-rate of 272.97. Batting first, Scorchers scored 128/3 in 10 overs.

Scorchers opener Tino Webster scored 54 runs in 26 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes. Evert Nicholson became the next highest scorer in 16 balls with an unbeaten 42 with the help of four sixes and three fours.

Giants’ first win after three matches :-

Pooran’s effort ensured that it was the Giants’ first win of the tournament after three matches. They are currently at the 4th position in the points table with 2 points from 3 matches. While the Scorchers are yet to win a single match and are at the bottom of the table after three matches.

Earlier, Pooran was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 10.75 crore in the mega auction of IPL 2022 last month . Pooran left for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021.
