New Delhi, Sports Desk. In the 66th match of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets. For Rajasthan, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 50 while Shimron Hetmyer scored a blistering 46 off 28 balls. In this match, there was also a mild altercation between two players i.e. Sam Karan from Punjab Kings and Shimron Hetmyer vs Sam Curran from Rajasthan Royals.
The atmosphere between the two heated up in the 17th of the second innings. There was an appeal for a caught out against Shimron Hetmyer on the 5th ball of Sam Karne’s over. The on-field umpire also declared out, but Hetmyer took DRS on the decision and the third umpire declared not out. After this, a round of debate started between Hetmyer and Karan.
Mild Altercation Between Shimron Hetmyer and Karan
The argument between the two continued in the 19th over as well. Sam Karan came to bowl in this over as well. Hetmyer hit a four on the very first ball of the over. After hitting the boundary, Shimron Hetmyer came running and in the same pose in which he hit the boundary, he went back circling Sam Karna. But, Sam Karan had the last laugh. Hetmyer was caught by Shikhar Dhawan on the last ball of the over.

Shimron Hetmyer said that I was provoked a little and then I reacted on my behalf regarding the slight spat between the two at the end of the match. Shimron Hetmyer further said, “I rarely sledge the players of the opposition team.
When asked what transpired between the two, Hetmyer laughed and said, “I can’t tell that here.”
