Will Alex Hales miss the ODI World Cup for England? India was alone in the semi-finals

England’s dashing batsman Alex Hales has been in headlines since the T20 World Cup. He played a brilliant inning against India in the semi-finals of the World Cup. Alex Hales returned to the England team after three years during the series played against Pakistan just before the World Cup. He was included in the team in place of Johnny Bairstow. Then he was also given a chance in the World Cup. He has spoken big about his plan for the ODI World Cup to be held in India next year.

It is like a second innings in international cricket for Alex Hales where he aims to play T20 cricket for England and franchise teams around the world. Hales was one of the heroes for England in the recent T20 World Cup. When asked about playing in the ODI World Cup to be held in India next year, Hales said that he himself wants to play in the 50-over format but right now his main focus is on the shortest format of the game.

Hales said in an online conversation organized by Abu Dhabi, a team participating in the Emirates T10 League, “I don’t know, but I think going forward I will focus on playing T20 Internationals for England and franchise teams.” I haven’t thought too much about ODIs. Hales believes that playing in Asia, especially in the UAE, gave him an opportunity to improve his game against spin. He said, “Spinners get help on subcontinent pitches. You have to make sure you own your methods. I think that is one of the important things as a franchise cricketer.

Talking about choosing the T10 league, he said, “You play tournaments throughout the year in different countries and conditions, so you have to keep improving certain areas of your game all the time. In this league, team Abu Dhabi will start its campaign against Deccan Gladiators on 23 November. Hales said that he has benefited from saying goodbye to Test cricket. He said, “I think it is very difficult to play all three formats at the top level. I think there are only a few cricketers who are probably good enough to get the ability in all three. “He said,” I had stopped playing the Test format in 2018, it helped me to improve in the T20 format. ”
