Indian ‘A’ team for Women Asia Cup 2023: The BCCI has announced the India ‘A’ squad for the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 in Hong Kong. The tournament will be played from June 12 to 21. Shweta Sehrawat, who was part of the Under-19 Women’s World Cup winning team, has been given the command. Apart from him, many players have found a place in the team.

India ‘A’ team will play the first match on June 13 from Hong Kong :-

Shweta Sehrawat will captain the 14-member Indian cricket team at the ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup. India ‘A’ team will play its first match against Hong Kong on 13th June. The BCCI announced the team on Friday. India are in Group ‘A’ along with Hong Kong ‘A’, Thailand ‘A’, Pakistan ‘A’, while Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia and UAE ‘A’ are in Group ‘B’.

Women Asia Cup 2023: It may be noted that the BCCI has appointed former all-rounder Nushin Al Khadeer as the head coach. Khadir headed the backroom staff during the Under-19 World Cup tournament in January. She was also the assistant coach of Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League in March. Whereas, the team includes Soumya Tiwari, G Trisha, Titas Sadhu, Parshvi Chopra and Mannat Kashyap along with Shweta Sehrawat.

Please tell that Sehrawat was on top of the list by scoring 297 runs in 7 innings in the World Cup. At the same time, 17-year-old Parshvi was one of the youngest players in the WPL, taking 11 wickets in 6 innings. She was the second highest wicket-taker in that tournament.
