Women’s Asia Cup 2022: Bangladesh will host the tournament starting October 1, with hosts, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, and UAE participating in the tournament.
Sylhet International Stadium in Bangladesh will host the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup from October 1 to October 16, with seven teams participating in the tournament.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) women’s committee chairperson Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel confirmed the details.
The seven-team competition will follow the 2022 Women’s World Cup qualifiers in the UAE.
ESPN Cricinfo also reported that India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and UAE are the competing countries apart from the home side. They will reach the host country on September 27-28.
Shafiul Alam, who is also the director of BCB, cited the venue’s proximity to the airport and hotel as the reason why he chose the Sylhet International Stadium.
Choudhary expressed complete confidence in his country’s ability to execute the event well after having hosted several ICC events in the past.
“Proximity to the airport and the hotel where the seven teams are expected to stay makes the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium the best option for the BCB.
As the host country, Bangladesh has hosted several major men’s and women’s continental and world events in the past.
“This year, we are delighted to welcome. The Asian Cricket Council’s Women’s Asia Cup to our country for the first time, especially to Sylhet. Which was also home to matches during the 2014 Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups.”
It is worth noting that there has been no women’s international match. In the subcontinental nation since Pakistan’s tour of the country in 2018. The Asia Cup will be the first time since the 2014 T20 World Cup. That Sylhet will stage an international game.
The hosts are also defending champions, having defeated India in the final in Kuala Lumpur in 2018. Rumana Ahmed won the player of the match award for his bowling figures of 4-0-22-2. And his batting return of 23 runs.
