Major damage due to fire at Eden Gardens

But meanwhile, the Cricket Association of Bengal has raised the concerns of the BCCI. There has also been a lot of damage due to the fire in the historic Eden Gardens. A massive fire broke out in the stadium at around 11:50 am on Wednesday. The fire started in the dressing room. Due to this, the memorabilia of the cricketers present here got burnt to ashes. The cause of the fire has been revealed in the investigation, a short circuit. As soon as the fire was reported, fire engines immediately reached here, which took more than an hour to control the fire. This incident has put a question mark on the security of five matches to be held here.
India and Pakistan can clash here in the semi-finals
Five matches of the ICC World Cup will be played at Eden Gardens. Which includes the second semi-final match to be held on 16 November. In such a situation, if India and Pakistan can cross the journey to the knockout, both teams can clash in the semi-finals here. However, before this India vs South Africa, match will be played here on 5th November. Apart from this, Bangladesh vs Netherlands on 28 October, Pakistan vs Bangladesh on 31 October, and England vs Pakistan on 11 November will be played.
