Cricket Australia, considered the most successful team in the history of the ICC World Cup 2023, has released its squad for the World Cup. While announcing the 18-member squad, Australia has also included an uncapped player of Indian origin.

Marnus Labuchagne could not find a place on the team

Marnus Labuchagne could not find a place in the team captained by Pat Cummins. The World Cup will start from October 5 in the hosting of India. Australia’s first match is to play with India in Chennai on 8 October. Australia vs India (IND vs Aus) match will be the beginning of the World Cup journey for both teams.

Indian-origin leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha was included in the squad

Indian-origin leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha has been included in the squad announced for the World Cup. Tanveer, 21, is of Indian origin. However, he was born in Australia only. His father Joga Sangha hails from Rahimpur, a village near Jalandhar. He went to Australia in 1997 to study. After this, he started living near Sydney. Joga Sangha drives a taxi in Sydney, while Tanveer’s mother Upneet works as an accountant here.
