World Cup 2023: Ramiz Raja’s rant, said – We will not come to India for the World Cup, know the whole matter

World Cup 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are once again at loggerheads over next year’s Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. In fact, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had recently said that Team India will not go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year.

Ramiz Raja, “We will not go to India to play ODI World Cup next year” :-

The Asia Cup will be held at a neutral venue. On this, the reaction of PCB Chief Ramiz has now come to the fore. He has said in a huff that if Team India does not come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup, then we too will not go to India to play the ODI World Cup next year.

Actually, Asia Cup 2023 was earlier to be held in Pakistan. However, Jay Shah, chairman of the Asian Cricket Council, had said that it would be held at a neutral venue. He had said that it can also be shifted to UAE.

Jai Shah, “Asia Cup 2023 to be played on neutral venue” :-

Jai Shah said- Asia Cup 2023 will be played on neutral venue. The Government of India decides on the permission for our team to go to Pakistan, so we will not comment on that, but for the 2023 Asia Cup, it has been decided that the tournament will be held at a neutral venue.

After this statement of Jai Shah, there was panic in Pakistan. However, now PCB Chief Rameez Raja has broken the silence on this.

Ramiz Raja while talking to Pakistani news channel said this :-

Talking to a Pakistani news channel, Ramiz Raja said- If Pakistan does not participate in the World Cup to be held in India next year, then who will watch it? Our stand is clear. If the Indian team comes here, we will go for the World Cup. If they don’t come, they can play the World Cup without us. We will take an aggressive stand.

Ramiz Raja said- Our team is performing well. I have always said that we need to improve the economy of Pakistan cricket and that can only happen if we do well.

We defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. We beat India in the T20 Asia Cup. In one year, Pakistan cricket team defeated a team with a billion dollar economy twice.

Next Asia Cup will be in ODI format:-

The next Asia Cup to be held in 2023 will be played in ODI format. The Asia Cup is played in the same format with an eye on the upcoming big ICC tournaments. That is, the T20 World Cup was to be played in 2022. In such a situation, the Asia Cup was also played in T20 format. At the same time, the ODI World Cup is to be held in 2023.

In such a situation, the Asia Cup will also be played in the ODI format. This will be the 16th edition of the Asia Cup. The Sri Lankan team is currently the defending champion. The Indian team has won the Asia Cup seven times, the maximum number of times. At the same time, Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup title six times. Pakistan has won this tournament twice.

Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025 :-

The Champions Trophy tournament is also coming back from 2025. This tournament will be played in 2025 for the first time after 2017. The ICC had handed over its hosting to Pakistan in its FTP cycle.

The ICC had announced this only last year. However, Jay Shah said that the venue for the 2025 Champions Trophy is yet to be decided. We will comment on that when it is decided.
