World Cup Qualifier 2023: Ground engulfed in flames after Zimbabwe ‘s one-sided victory

World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe: World Cup qualifier matches are being played in Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, news of a massive fire at the Harare Sports Club has come to the fore on Tuesday night. This information has been received through a report by ESPNcricinfo.

Fierce fire in Harare Sports Club amid World Cup Qualifier :-

A fire broke out at the Harare Sports Club on 20 June, but authorities have recently confirmed that the ground was not damaged by the blaze the previous day. After this incident, the security team of ICC and Zimbabwe Cricket inspected the entire ground. During this, after a thorough investigation, it has been decided that the upcoming World Cup matches will be played at this venue.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained:-

In the Zimbabwe vs Netherlands match, Zimbabwe won by 6 wickets. About six hours after the match, flames were seen at the south end of the ground. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. In the viral video, it can be seen that the flames are reaching the trees outside the ground and are coming very close to the stand.

The green signal was again given to play the match :-

During this accident, officials living in front of an official government building named Zimbabwe House were alerted. He then extinguished the fire before it could damage the stand.
