WPL 2023: Australia’s Rachael Haynes has been appointed as the head coach of the Women’s Premier League team Gujarat Giants. Gujarat Giants have also strengthened their support staff roster with the addition of Nushin Al Khadeer as bowling coach, Tushar Arothe as batting coach and Gavan Twining as fielding coach. Mithali Raj was earlier signed up as an advisor to the team.

Mithali Raj said in a statement issued by the franchise:-

“Rachael Haynes, Nooshin Al Khadeer, Tushar Arothe and Gavan Twining will definitely add to the team’s performance. They have not only carved a niche for themselves in their roles but have also excelled,” Mithali Raj said in a statement released by the franchise. The performance will be an inspiration to the team.”

Rachael Haynes retired from international career last year :-

Haynes retired at the end of last year after an illustrious international career and domestic and club careers. She led Australia to six world titles and was the vice-captain of the team from 2017 to 2022.

He played six Tests for Australia. He scored 383 runs at an average of 34.81. In 77 ODIs where he scored 2585 runs at an average of 39.76. Apart from this, he scored 850 runs in 84 T20Is at a strike rate of 117.72.
