Mumbai Indians continue their stellar run in the Women’s Premier League. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants by a huge margin of 55 runs in the 12th match of WPL 2023 on Tuesday. With this, Mumbai Indians have confirmed their place in the playoffs.

Harmanpreet Kaur broke the record of MS Dhoni :-

With this victory, Harmanpreet Kaur has left behind many veteran Indian captains including MS Dhoni. Harmanpreet Kaur has reached the top among Indian players with most wins in 5 IPL or WPL matches as captain. Harmanpreet Kaur led Mumbai Indians to five consecutive victories.

Harmanpreet was followed by MS Dhoni including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rishabh Pant and Virender Sehwag. All these players have led their respective teams to victory in four consecutive matches.

Mumbai Indians created history :-

Along with Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians have also set a new record. Mumbai Indians became the only team to win their first five matches of the Women’s Premier League. Even in IPL, no team has been able to do such a feat. Mumbai Indians beat Gujarat by 143 runs, RCB by 9 wickets, Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets, UP Warriors by 8 wickets and Gujarat Giants by 55 runs in the current WPL.
