Smriti Mandhana Said that I think We Wanted to Score More Runs on the Batting Pitch

Smriti Mandhana said after the match, ‘I think we wanted to score more runs on the batting pitch. Our performance was not good. We will come back strong. I think our batsmen let us down. Some batsmen got to 20, including me, but we could not bat for long. Once we settle at the crease, we have to play long innings. This matter will have to be taken care of in future. If a batsman had stayed till the 18th over, we would have scored a big score.

RCB’s batting as well as fielding was poor. The players could not support their bowlers. There were a lot of mistakes by the RCB fielders, which gave Mumbai an easy chance to get into the driving seat and they managed to win the match in under 15 overs. This was the first time in WPL 2023 that the team chasing the target registered a comfortable win.

6 Options are Enough for us

Smriti Mandhana said, ‘We have enough bowlers. 6 options are enough for us. We did not put enough runs on the scoreboard and our fielding was also poor. RCB’s next match will be against Gujarat Giants. Gujarat has also lost both its matches. It will be interesting to see who will be able to open the account of victory first between RCB and Gujarat.
