WPL 2024: Meg Lanning achieved a big achievement in T20 cricket

In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 on Sunday, March 3, Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Meg Lanning played a brilliant half-century against Gujarat Giants (GG). He scored 55 runs after facing 41 balls. He hit 6 sixes and one six. He was caught by Meghna Singh at the hands of Hemlata in the 13th over. Lanning performed a great feat before getting out.

Meg Lanning became the first batsman to do so :-

In fact, Meg Lanning has become the fastest player to complete 9 thousand runs (in terms of innings) in women’s T20 cricket. He has three centuries and 67 half-centuries to his name in T20 cricket.

Former Australian captain and veteran batsman Lanning touched the figure of nine thousand runs in 289 innings. She has become number one in this matter by defeating Beth Mooney of Australia. Mooney had scored this many runs in 299 innings. After her in the list are New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates, who scored nine thousand in 297 and 323 innings respectively.

Had said goodbye to international cricket in November last year :-

Let us tell you that Lanning, who had won five World Cups for Australia, had said goodbye to international cricket in November last year. Lanning, who is going to turn 32 this month, scored 3405 runs in 132 matches in T20 International.
