This has not been disclosed yet :-

However, he did not reveal in which state the WPL will be held. He said, “We have many places where we can host matches, including Bengaluru and Uttar Pradesh. After a few years we can do it in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Vadodara of Gujarat also. A decision in this regard will be taken after discussion with the franchise owners. It is basically a joint call between the franchises and BCCI. We will sit together and decide…”

The BCCI secretary also said that the venue will be selected keeping in mind that it does not coincide with the matches of the domestic season. “We will see where the stadium will be available,” he said. Domestic matches are going on in Gujarat, Chandigarh and Ranchi. It is not that we want to hold WPL matches in Mumbai only.

In this way, Kashvi became India’s most expensive sold ‘uncapped’ player whereas there was a lot of demand for Australian players at the beginning of the auction. The ‘base price’ of Kashvi was Rs 10 lakh. Both Gujarat and UP Warriors bid for him. But the Gujarat team was successful in winning the bid to hire his services for the second phase of the WPL.
