ZIM vs BAN: Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman Regis Chakabwa has been appointed as the captain of the Zimbabwe national cricket team for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh national cricket team, confirmed Zimbabwe Cricket on Thursday, 4 August.

The 15-man squad announced for the ODI series:-

On Thursday, Zimbabwe Cricket announced a 15-man squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh. The three-match ODI series will be playing in Harare on August 5, August 7, and August 10.

In the absence of regular captain Craig Ervine, Chakabwa has been given the responsibility of leading the team, who has been given a break by the cricket board to recover from recent troubles.

Also, 35-year-old batting all-rounder, Sean Williams will not be including in the ODI squad for the series as he was giving time to attend to personal matters.

Replacement of Ervine and Williams in the ODI squad:-

Meanwhile, Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Tarisai Muskanda were naming as replacements for Erwin and Williams in the ODI squad.

Apart from this, no major changes will be making to the squad. And players who participating in the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh national cricket team will be including in the squad.

Notably, the Zimbabwe national cricket team won the three-match T20I series 2–1 against the Bangladesh national cricket team. The team led by Craig Ervine won the first game by 17 runs and the series decider, the third T20I, by 10 runs.
