Biography

Mithali Raj was born on 3 December 1982 in the Jodhpur city of Rajasthan. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. His also name is Lady Sachin.  She attended High school for girls in Secunderabad and completed her Intermediate studies from Kasturba Gandhi Junior College for women in best Marredpally( Secunderabad). She lives in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Family –

Her father is Dorai Raj, who was an Airman (Warrant Officer) in the Indian Air Force, and her mother is Leela Raj, she worked engineering instruments division of Lawrence and Mayo. Meethali Raj belongs to a Tamil Family. She has an elder brother named Mithun Raj.

Career –

Mithali Raj created a world record by becoming the first player to cross 6000 runs in the history of women’s ODI. She is an all-rounder, who is a right-arm leg-break bowler as well as right-handed batswomen. She became the first player from India (either male or female) to score 2000 runs in T20 & became the first woman cricketer to reach 2002 WT20Is runs during 2008.

She became a caption in 2005. Mithali is the only cricketer who has captained India more than one time in ICC, World Cup, ODI, etc. She became the first woman to play 200 ODI matches, during the Indian series against New Zealand in 2019.

Personal Life –

She loves readings novels and stories. Mithali was keen on becoming a Bharatnatyam dancer. She started playing games at the age of 10. She lives in Hyderabad, Telangana. Raj did not attend college, She is unmarried. In October 2017, Mithali appeared on the cover of Vogue India Magazine along with Shahrukh Khan and Nita Ambani.

2003 – Arjun Award. 2015 – Padma Shri. 2017 – Youth Sports Icon of Excellence Award. 2017 – Vogue Sportsperson of the Year. 2017 – BBC 100 Women.

After reaching the final of the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup, Mithali and her team many dignitaries including the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
