Recently Bangladesh Cricket Board got a letter from Shakib Al-Hasan for the leave as Shakib wants to be with his wife and child in the (USA), Bangladesh Cricket Board yet to make the decision.

Earlier, New Zealand Cricket had postponed the series against Bangladesh by a week due to Covid-19-related challenges, with the tour now commencing on March 20. Initially, the three ODIs were supposed to be held on March 13, 17 and 20. Instead, it will now take place on March 20, 23 and 26 in Dunedin, Christchurch and Wellington.

Meanwhile, the three T20Is will now be held on March 28, 30, and April 1 in Hamilton, Napier, and Auckland. Bangladesh is scheduled to depart for New Zealand on February 22.
