Melbourne Stars opening batsman Andre Fletcher has been ruled out of what would have been his final game in green for the season with a quadriceps strain.

Fletcher will remain with the squad on the bench for Saturday night’s encounter before leaving Australia on Sunday.

The Stars play their final two regular season matches at the MCG against the Scorchers (23 January) and Sydney Sixers (26 January) in what is a tight race to the finals series.
