SL vs Aus: There has been a demand to include Mumbai Indians finisher Tim David in Australia’s Squad, Australia is gearing up for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.

Although the visitors have a very organized lineup, Mumbai Indians finisher Tim David is pressing his case for inclusion in Australia’s T20 squad.

David has taken the current T20 Blast by storm and has been lighting up the tournament with a stellar performance. As he finished matches for MI, the big-hitting batsman is copying the same in the T20 Blast for Lancashire.
The finisher of Mumbai Indians has scored scores of 20, 44, 13, 16, 46, 34, 35, 60, 15, 22, and 42 in his last 11 T20 matches. David has been unbeaten in most of the run-chases and has hit these runs at a strike of 182.

The Singapore-born cricketer has scored the most runs for any player in the T20 format as a finisher since 2021.
Matthew Wade and Aaron Finch already feel that it will not take long for David to get into the T20 squad.
Australia currently has Marcus Stonis and Wade named finishers. David is definitely having his neck down with a stellar performance.
David’s heroism with the bat in the T20 Blast has seen Lancashire go unbeaten in the T20 tournament this season.

Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Wade feels that David will definitely play for Australia in the near future.
“He has as much power as any player in the world, and I was really happy with the way he (IPL) finished the tournament,” Wade told cricket.com.au.

“He got out of the team after two games, which was a bit of a mystery, and then came back,” he said, adding, “Whether it is the World Cup or the next, he still has a lot of time.
He’s going to play some cricket for Australia, no doubt about it,” Wade said of David.
