Bangladesh appoints Sridharan Sriram as a Practical advisor

appointed Sridharan Sriram as technical advisor to the Bangladesh national team in the shortest format till the T20 World Cup.

Sriram previously worked with the Australia national team

Sriram previously worked with the Australia national team for six years from 2016 and has also been part of the coaching staff of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He will reach Dhaka on Sunday to play his role.

“We have appointed him because he has experience working in IPL while the World Cup is in Australia where he has worked for a long time,” BCB president Nazmul Hasan told reporters on Friday.

Namierole could change as he works on

Najmul said Jamie Siddons’ role could change as he works on the development as part of a long-term plan.

“He (Jamie) also wants that (working with Vikas) but unfortunately he is traveling with the team and nothing is happening because he can’t develop in such a short amount of time,” he said.

“Jamie will go to the World Cup but we don’t know whether we will send him to the Asia Cup or not. If we don’t send him to the Asia Cup, we will go without a batting coach, whereas if he goes then in this period We will not develop, so there are a lot of issues that we are working on.”

Najmul also hinted that he might try split coaching

Najmul also hinted that he might try split coaching as he is not sure whether Domingo will be with the team in the UAE for the Asia Cup this month.

“Whether we will have Domingo [in the Asia Cup] will be decided on August 22 because we have to sit with him (Domingo), while we have to sit with Sriram,” he said. ” They said.
