The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) made the shocking announcement in a press release ahead of the Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series in Scotland and the Asia Cup qualifiers in Oman.

Raza was retaining his ODI captaincy, although the reins of T20Is were handing over to batsman CP Rizwan, just three days before the match against Kuwait in Al-Amrat and two months before their T20 World Cup campaign.
