Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah ruled out of Pakistani Super League (PSL) 2021 due to breaking covid- 19 protocol

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ruled out Quetta Gladiators fast-bowler Naseem Shah due to violating the Covid guidelines before leaving the country. Banned from participating in matches.

The PCB issued a statement that Shah of Quetta Gladiators was dismissed from the team for arriving at the hotel in Lahore with an old report of the RT PCR test. It says, “This is why this fast bowler will not be able to go to Abu Dhabi in UAE on May 26 and he is out of the competition.” Nineteen-year-old Shah has played nine Tests so far.

The PCB had asked all the players to reach the team hotels by May 24 with a negative report of 48 hours old RT PCR.

The PCB said, “Naseem had submitted the PCR report of the test conducted on 18 May. After this, they were kept on a separate floor. After the recommendations of the Medical Advisory Panel of PSL, it was decided to exclude them.

Another Player from Multan Sultan Shahid Afridi has also been out of PSL after complaining of backache. Afridi has shared information about this by tweeting.

Afridi represented Multan Sultans in four of the league’s five matches in Karachi, scoring just three runs in two innings and taking two wickets in 15 overs.

Pakistan Super League 6th season will be restarted from next month in Abu Dhabi which was postponed in March as several players and support staff in the six franchises were found to be Covid-19 positive.
