There was a demand to include this Indian fast bowler in the T20 World Cup :-

In the IPL match against Gujarat Titans on Wednesday, Umran Malik impressed everyone in the IPL 2022 tournament by taking 5/25 wickets with fast pace and accuracy. Umran Malik has five wickets for the first time in the league. Four of Umran Malik’s five wickets came from clean bowling, in which he bowled Wriddhiman Saha with a yorker at 153 kmph.

Swann said “Would like to see Malik in T20 World Cup in Australia” :-

Swann told cricket.com, ‘Without a doubt, I would love to see Umran play in Australia. India has everything, but they don’t have fast bowlers. Bumrah is fast, but he is not as expressive as Umran. Get him involved as soon as possible. He is a good player for international cricket.

IPL 2022: Reached number two in the race for Purple Cap :-

Umran Malik’s number of wickets in IPL 2022 has reached 15; which is equal to that of his Hyderabad teammate and left-arm pacer T Natarajan and just three wickets behind table-topper Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Umran Malik’s weapon is speed :-

Swann said, ‘Umran Malik is bowling fast. In the beginning of IPL 2022, he was fast, but runs were being scored on his balls. When I heard Dale Steyn say that I have asked him to think about his bowling as it is his weapon; I was happy. He was an amazing bowler.
