Anil Kumble, “Arshdeep Singh can do for India what Zaheer Khan did”
AT20 World Cup 2022:Former captain Anil Kumble believes that young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh can play the same role Zaheer Khan once played for India.
Arshdeep made his debut for India earlier this year :-
Arshdeep has been impressive in a few matches since making his India debut earlier this year. These include the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 match played against Pakistan on Sunday, in which he took three wickets. Kumble has closely tested Arshdeep while being the coach of IPL team Punjab Kings and now he is very impressed with him.

Anil Kumble said this in a program of ESPNcricinfo :-
Former leg-spinner Kumble said at an event in ‘ESPNcricinfo’, “Arshdeep has definitely matured and I want him to continue his good performance. He has the ability to do everything that Zaheer Khan did for India.
I want Arshdeep to do well for India and I am really impressed by them. I worked with him for three years and in the last IPL he showed how he handles pressure.
Pakistan has the fastest bowling attack :-
When asked which team has the fastest bowling attack in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, Kumble named Pakistan. He said that Pakistan has fast bowlers like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah.
The former head coach said, “Pakistan definitely has the best fast bowling attack. He lacked the all-rounder that Australia has.
Overall, Australia have a decent attack in terms of having options. India definitely has good spinners. If you ask me, I think Pakistan has the best fast bowling attack.
