Brian Lara and Rahul Dravid met in the first ODI between India and West Indies

Port of Spain: The first ODI of the three-match series was played between India and West Indies on Friday, where the two giants met. The great batsman Brian Lara and Rahul Dravid met during the first ODI and the photo of these two together has gone viral. Rahul Dravid is currently the head coach of the Indian team. Brian Lara is from Trinidad and was present to watch the match.

While sharing the photo of these two legends, BCCI wrote the caption, ‘Two legends, one frame.’ By the time the news was written, more than 25 thousand likes had come on this photo. Brian Lara and Rahul Dravid played against each other in the 1990s and 2000s. Both the players were at their best then. While Rahul Dravid was considered a technically sound batsman, Lara was one of the more stylish left-handed batsmen.

Rahul Dravid is the head coach of the national team

It is to be known that Brian Lara’s name still holds the record for making the best individual score in an innings of Test cricket. His first class score record has not been broken yet. The former West Indies captain is offering his services to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran performed brilliantly under Lara’s guidance. While Lara is not doing anything other than IPL, Rahul Dravid is the head coach of the national team.

However, the Indian team defeated West Indies by 3 runs in the first ODI played on Friday. India batted first and scored 308 runs in the allotted 50 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. In reply, West Indies team could score 305 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. With this, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
