In the seventh match of the IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on each other at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) this Thursday (15th April) night.

Both these teams will play their second match of this IPL 2021. While Delhi Capitals started their new season with a comfortable seven-wicket victory, Rajasthan Royals lost their first match of the season by just 4 runs.

Rajasthan has faced off against Delhi 22 times in the IPL since 2008, holding an 11-11 win-loss record. RR wasn’t part of the tournament in 2016 and 2017.

Earlier, Most of their bowlers struggled against the PBKS batting line-up. While the left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya made his IPL debut in a brilliant way as his bowling figures were 4-0-31-3. The most expensive player in the IPL Auction history, South African cricketer Chris Morris also got two wickets but he was also expensive as his bowling figures were 4-0-41-2.

Meanwhile, an inspired performance from Sanju Samson (119) on his debut match as RR skipper went in vain as they succumbed to a last-ball defeat to KL Rahul’s Punjab side. Chasing a mammoth total of 222, Samson single-handedly took Royals deep into the game despite losing wickets at the other end.

Englishman Ben Stokes, meanwhile, sustained a broken finger in his left hand during RR’s opening game. He suffered the injury while running in from long-on and diving forward to collect Chris Gayle’s catch.
