8 ground workers are corona infected in Wankhede Stadium

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League will be held on April 9 in six different cities of the country.

The season of this T20 league was held in the UAE yesterday due to COVID-19. The league has not even started yet that corona cases have started in the tournament.

10 matches to be held at Wankhede Stadium

The stadium is to host 10 matches of the IPL from 10 April to 25 April. eight ground staff of Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai have been found to be Corona positive.

19 groundstaff members undergo RT-PCR test

The RT-PCR test of all 19 Groundstaff members of the Wankhede Stadium took place last week. The report of 3 of these people came on 26 March which was found to be covid-19 positive. On April 1 and 5 other people have been confirmed to have corona capacity.

It is not yet clear whether the ground staff who were found positive in the first round were separated from them after that.

A few days before the IPL event, the board is also in a position to deal with such cases.
