New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel auctioned his 10-wicket match jersey for the Children’s Hospital in New Zealand, Ajaz has decided to auction his 10-wicket-taker jersey for the noble cause.
Has become only the third bowler in history:-
Patel, who has become only the third bowler in the history of international cricket to take 10 wickets in an innings, has said that he hopes the money raised from the auction will help the Starship Foundation – a children’s hospital – find play specialists.

Ajaz Patel went for a standing ovation at the Wankhede Stadium after his feat and was congratulated by Indian cricketer Virat Kohli in the dressing room.
Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s premier spinner in the series, handed him a signed Indian shirt later that day.
Speaking after the game, Patel had said that it was one of the greatest cricketing days of his life and would probably top his playing days.
Patel informed us on Instagram:-
On Thursday, May 6, Patel informed us on Instagram that he was going to auction his shirt.
“You may or may not have seen it, but @starshipfoundation is auctioning off one of my signed shirts from the 10-wicket Test in Mumbai to raise money for a drama therapist while it was a special day for me.
What they do in Supporting children and their families is even more important. And I hope the auction on @trademe can raise as much money as possible for them,” Patel wrote.
The Starship Foundation asked him what inspired him to donate. Patel revealed an incident from last year where he had to spend some nervous moments. His daughter and Starship had helped a lot at that time.
Spent a few days on the starship with my daughter:-
“My wife and I spent a few days in Starship with our daughter last year. It was a worrying time, but I realizing how lucky we were to only have a short stay.

Starship was wonderful to us, and we wanted to give it back. This is one way we can do that,” Ajaz was quoting as saying.
