Good news for Delhi Capitals. India’s all-rounder and Delhi Capitals player Axar Patel have joined his team in the IPL after spending nearly three weeks in a hospital in Mumbai due to being found Covid-19 positive. After which there is a wave of happiness in the camp of Delhi.
Corona positive were found in test
The 27-year-old had earlier joined the Delhi team in Mumbai on March 28. He came in the bio bubble with a negative report, but on April 3, his Covid-19 was found to test positive. He showed mild symptoms after which he was sent to the Medical Faculty of the Indian Cricket Board.
Delhi Capitals posted a video of Patel joining the team and tweeted, “On Bapu (Axar Patel’s) return to Delhi Capitals Camp, a smile floats on everyone’s faces.” Patel said in the video, “I am enjoying seeing the man.”
Significantly, Axar Patel was the second player in the IPL to be infected with this deadly virus after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Devdutt Pedikkal. In the absence of Axar, Delhi had added Shams Mulani of Mumbai to their team.
