Brad Hodge asks BCCI to pay IPL 2011 dues

Former Australian batsman Brad Hodge has asks the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to pay his dues for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the IPL 2011 season.

Hodge said on his Twitter handle, “35% of the players still owed what they had to meet while playing for Kochi 10 years ago.” Is there any hope of getting this amount from the Board of Control for Cricket in India?

The disputed franchise was a part of the IPL in only one season. the team participated in the T20 League in 2011. From the very beginning, the Kochi Tuskers made headlines for the wrong reasons, in which there was talk of a fight between the shareholders inside.

The franchise was terminated after one season and the BCCI claimed that the franchise failed to provide a bank guarantee. The board then advised foreign players to accuse the owners as the matter was decided to go to court.

The BCCI suspended the Kochi franchise after one season and could not participate in the 2012 season as their owners could not pay the bank guarantee of 10 percent of the franchise fees.
