Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson explained why they lost against CSK. RR loss their second match in a total of three matches in the IPL 2021 so far
The 12th match of IPL 2021 was played between Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings and the young Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Which Chennai Super Kings won the match by 45 runs due to the fatal bowling of their spin bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali. At the same time, after the defeat, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson admitted that the dew did not come in that way and he was quite shocked to see the ball spin.
Sanju said after the match, “I think this total could have been chased. But we soon lost a lot of wickets. Our bowlers performed well but Chennai batting has a lot of depth.”
Sanju added, “At the time of bowling we probably gave 10 to 15 runs more in the end overs. We never thought the dew would not come in the second innings. The ball was spinning comfortably. Which was quite shocking.”
While Sanju said about young fast bowler Chetan Sakariya, who took the wickets of veterans like Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the end match, “Sakaria did very well in the match which is also a symbol of positiveness in our defeat.
Talking about the match, the Chennai Super Kings, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 188 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs and then stopped Rajasthan for 143 runs for nine wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.
This is Chennai’s second win of three matches and now has four points and has moved up to number two in the table. Rajasthan has suffered their second defeat in three matches and is ranked number six in the table.
