Speaking to Sport, Dhruv Jurel revealed that talking to the former Indian team captain was a ‘fanboy’ moment for him.
Dhruv Jurel said, “It was a fan moment for me. I have always admired him a lot as a cricketer.
It was a great moment because when I met him last year, I got to chat with him for just a few minutes, and I couldn’t believe I was sitting in front of him. So, it was a fun moment for me to talk to him.”
Questioned Dhoni about chasing tough targets:-
Asked about the details of his conversation with the CSK skipper, the 22-year-old revealed that he asked Dhoni about tough chases and how to bat in those conditions.
Dhruv Jurel further said, “I was curious to know about his mindset while batting.
I asked him about his approach when the team needs 100 runs in the last 12-13 overs, and he excels in those situations.
He told me to keep things simple, not be afraid of making mistakes and focus on the target.
He stresses the importance of simplicity and doing effective work rather than fancy shots. It was a valuable conversation, and his advice has stuck with me.”

Talking about his IPL debut, the wicket-keeper batsman revealed that he had no ‘jitters’ ahead of his debut against Punjab Kings on April 5.
