Chennai Super Kings (CSK), one of the most consistent teams in the Indian Premier League, have redesigned their New jersey for the first time since the opening edition of IPL 2008.
Three-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday unveiled their new jersey which also features a ‘camouflage’ honoring the Indian Army.
The franchise has three stars above the franchise’s logo in Jersey, marking the title victories in 2010, 2011, and 2018. In addition to this, its ‘camouflage’ has also been added as a tribute to the Armed Forces of India.
CSK CEO KS Vishwanath said, “It has been a long time that we have been thinking how to raise awareness about the important and selfless service of the armed forces. It is our respect for the same service of Kay Camouflage. They are our real heroes.
The CSK team also released a video on Twitter in which captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is unveiling New Jersey
CSK respects the Indian Army greatly and was given a check of Rs 2 crore at the start of the 2019 IPL season.
Apart from this, Dhoni is also an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army and also trained with the Parachute Regiment in 2019.
