Delhi Capitals: Ready to release Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey before IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals: All 10 Indian Premier League franchises will release their retained lists by November 26. The process of cuts and changes has begun with Rajasthan Royals trading Devdutt Padikkal to Lucknow. Delhi Capitals have agreed to release some players from their squad ahead of their entry into the auction in Dubai on December 19.

Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey ready to release

According to the IANS report, DC will be parting ways with players like Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey. At the same time, the future of star opener Prithvi Shaw is also not visible with the franchise.

Veteran player Sarfaraz

Veteran domestic cricket player Sarfaraz has not been able to leave his mark in the IPL. Last season, he scored just 53 runs in four matches at an average of 13.25. Overall, he has scored 585 runs in 50 matches played in his career at an average of 22.50 and strike rate of 130.58, with one half-century in his name.

Manish Pandey also did not perform well for the Capitals in IPL 2023

Pandey also did not have a good performance for the Capitals in IPL 2023 and scored 160 runs in ten matches at an average of 17.78. Known for being the first Indian to score a century in the IPL, the 34-year-old has scored 3808 runs in 170 IPL matches. The report further suggests that CSK may trade him for the next season.

Possibility of Rishabh Pant’s return

DC captain Rishabh Pant is likely to return after a year-long break. It is expected that he will make a comeback in the middle of IPL 2024.
