MS Dhoni’s date of playing his last match in the IPL revealed
The IPL 2023 schedule was revealed on Friday, setting the stage for Dhoni’s final match. If CSK fails to qualify for the playoffs, it will play its last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. CSK will start its campaign against defending champions Gujarat Titans.
This is the last season of MS
A Chennai Super Kings official said, “Yes, this will be MS’s last season as a player. That’s all we know so far, but obviously, it’s her decision. He has not officially informed the management whether he will retire or not. It is a special occasion for all the CSK fans as IPL is back in Chennai. But if Dhoni plays his last season, it will be a sad moment.”
Dhoni has led CSK since the inaugural season in 2008. Last season, Dhoni handed over the reins of captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja. However, the bet backfired as CSK lost consecutive matches under Jadeja’s captaincy.
