Eight England cricketers participating in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 reached London
The foreign players participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) are leaving home on chartered flights with the help of BCCI. In which eight of the 11 players from England reached their country, while the Australian cricketer would go through the Maldives
The organizers had to suspend the T20 league on Tuesday after four players from India were infected with the coronavirus.
England’s Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali, and Jason Roy have arrived in London and will be staying in quarantine at the hotel for ten days. England’s limited-overs format captain Eoin Morgan, Dawid Malan, and Chris Jordan are expected to leave India in the next 48 hours.
A spokesman for the England and Wales Cricket Board said, “I confirm that eight of England’s 11 cricketers left India last night and reached Heathrow this morning.” He said, ‘They will be quarantined in the hotels authorized by the government. Jordan, Morgan, Malan will leave in the next 48 hours.
On the other hand, Australian players are waiting for the Maldives departure. Where they will leave home after staying for a few days. Australia has banned flights coming from India till 15 May. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has denied any concession and Cricket Australia has also not asked for an exemption from the government.
A franchise official said, “All Australians are reaching Delhi from where they will go to the Maldives through a chartered plane.” Cricket Australia’s Interim Chief Executive Officer Nick Hockley said that the Cricket Board of India is working to arrange a chartered aircraft for the Australian players, coaches, and commentators of the IPL.

The BCCI is also committed to take them out and then send them home by chartered plane. Chennai Super Kings batting coach Mike Hussey, who found Covid-19 positive, will complete a 10-day quarantine in India.
Australian Cricketers Association chief executive Todd Greenberg said that Hussey’s morale has not been broken despite a very deadly virus infection. The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hussey as saying, ‘There are mild symptoms in it. Therefore, he will stay in his hotel for at least 10 days in Quarantine. But the team is supporting him, which is a good thing.
