Mohammad Shami created history: In the second qualifier match of IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans are clashing with Mumbai Indians. Batting first, Gujarat scored 233 runs on the score board losing 3 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Shubman Gill’s stormy century innings.

Mohammed Shami has become the highest wicket-taker in a single season in the powerplay of IPL. Shami has now taken 17 wickets in IPL 2023. The fast bowler from Gujarat achieved this special feat with the dismissal of Rohit Sharma. Shami has shattered Trent Boult’s 2020 record. In the year 2020, Bolt took 16 wickets inside the powerplay. At the same time, Mitchell Johnson also took 16 wickets in the year 2013.
