WPL 2023: Women’s Premier League team Gujarat Giants has chosen Beth Mooney as their captain. Mooney is a great player from Australia and she played a blistering inning of 74 runs in the recently concluded World Cup final.

Gujarat Giants named Beth Mooney as their captain

Australia’s veteran player Beth scored 74 runs in 53 balls in the final of the T20 World Cup. She opens the innings for the team. Beth Mooney’s base price in the Women’s Premier League was Rs 40 lakhs. There was a fierce battle for Beth between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat, in the end, Beth was bought by Gujarat Giants with a successful bid of Rs 4 crore. The first match of the tournament will play between Mumbai and Gujarat Giants.

Sneh Rana became the vice-captain

Gujarat Giants officially announced Beth Mooney as the captain and named Sneh Rana as the vice-captain. Gujarat Giants’ first match is with Mumbai Indians on 4th March.
